Scroll Type Water-Source and Ground-Source Heat Pump

The Scroll Water-Source / Ground-Source Heat Pump System is composed of three primary components: the heat pump unit (with scroll compressor), the indoor terminal system (fan coil units / radiant floor heating), and the ground/water heat exchange system (buried pipe loops or wells). It functions fundamentally as a heat transfer device, not a heat generation device.

1. The Four-Stage Refrigerant Cycle for Heat Transfer

Heat is transferred through the refrigerant as it circulates among the four key components:

Evaporation (Heat Absorption — Winter Heating Mode):
The low-pressure liquid refrigerant evaporates in the evaporator, absorbing heat from the water source (groundwater or brine from buried pipes) and converting to a low-pressure gas.

Compression (Energy Input Stage):
The low-pressure gas enters the scroll compressor, where it is compressed into a high-temperature, high-pressure gas. The scroll compressor's twin-spiral design ensures smooth, quiet operation and high efficiency.

Condensation (Heat Release — Heating Output):
The high-temperature, high-pressure gas releases its heat to the indoor water circuit in the condenser, warming the space via underfloor heating or fan coils. The refrigerant then condenses into a high-pressure liquid.

Expansion (Pressure Reduction — Cycle Reset):
The high-pressure liquid passes through the expansion valve, where it expands into a low-pressure vapor-liquid mixture, ready to re-enter the evaporator and start the next cycle.
