120m Standard Fog‑Cannon
The mist cannon is a highly efficient open-area dust suppression device that atomizes water into fine particles and projects them over long distances to capture and settle airborne dust. This product is widely used in mining, ports, construction sites, municipal sanitation, and other fields, suitable for dust control at open-pit excavation sites, material stockyards, loading and unloading areas, and other open dust-generating locations.
The mist cannon's operation consists of three stages: high-pressure atomization, fan projection, and adsorption-settling.
Water is pressurized by a high-pressure pump and forced through specially designed micro-nozzles, breaking it into fine mist particles ranging from 30 to 150 microns in diameter. The atomized mist enters the guide tube, where a high-power axial fan generates high-velocity airflow that projects it over long distances. The mist particles collide with and bind to airborne dust through inertial impaction and agglomeration. As the wetted dust particles grow larger and heavier, they eventually settle to the ground by gravity, completing the air purification process.
The equipment is operated through a PLC intelligent control system for automated management, capable of automatic start/stop based on real-time dust concentration monitoring for energy-efficient operation.
High Dust Suppression Efficiency: Achieves over 95% suppression efficiency for inhalable particulate matter (PM10). Compared to traditional water spraying methods, water consumption is only one-tenth to one-twentieth, while suppression effectiveness is significantly superior.
Wide Coverage Range: Projection distance covers 30 to 200 meters, with 360-degree horizontal rotation and a -10° to +45° vertical tilt range, enabling dead-angle-free coverage. A single unit can cover thousands to over ten thousand square meters of operational area.
Flexible Mobility: The unit can be fixed-mounted around stockyards or installed on trailers or truck chassis for mobile operation. One unit can serve multiple dust-generating points, offering high return on investment.
Intelligent Control: Equipped with a PLC control system supporting manual, remote, and automatic operation modes. Can be integrated with online dust monitoring systems for automatic start when dust concentration exceeds thresholds and automatic shutdown when levels return to normal, maximizing water and energy savings while ensuring suppression effectiveness.
Multi-Purpose Functionality: Beyond dust suppression, the mist cannon can also be used for summer cooling, air humidification, landscape irrigation, and emergency disinfection, maximizing equipment utilization value.
Explosion-Proof Configuration: For coal mines, petrochemical plants, and other flammable/explosive environments, explosion-proof models are available, featuring explosion-proof motors, explosion-proof electrical control boxes, and anti-static nozzles to ensure safe and reliable operation in hazardous areas. For cold regions, electric or steam heating systems can be configured to prevent water line freezing at low temperatures, ensuring winter operation.
Low Noise Operation: Equipped with fan silencers and sound-insulated enclosures, operating noise can be controlled to low levels, meeting urban environmental noise limits and suitable for operations near residential areas.
The mist cannon is widely applied in dust suppression across various open dust-generating locations. In mining and quarrying, it is used for dust control during blasting, crushing and screening, stockpile management, and loading/transport operations. In ports and terminals, it serves coal and ore stockyards, ship loading/unloading operations, and belt conveyor transfer points. In the iron and steel metallurgy industry, it is used for raw material yards, sinter stockpiles, and blast furnace casthouses. In thermal power plants and coal yards, it controls dust at coal stockpiles, coal handling systems, and unloading operations. At construction and demolition sites, it is applied for earth excavation, demolition blasting, and spoil transport dust control. Additionally, it is used for municipal road dust suppression, landfill sites, and environmental sanitation disinfection.
