Sintered plate dust collector
The sintered plate dust collector (also called a plastic sintered plate dust collector) uses rigid filter plates for dust separation. While its operating principle is similar to that of a baghouse filter, the filter elements themselves are distinctly different.
Dust-laden gas enters the dust air chamber located in the middle section of the housing, passing through guide plates at the inlet. As the gas flows across the filter plates, dust particles are captured on the PTFE-coated surface, while clean air passes through the plates into the internal cavities and is exhausted by the fan.
As filtration continues, the dust layer on the sintered plate surfaces thickens, causing a gradual rise in system resistance. When the preset time interval or differential pressure is reached, the cleaning control system automatically triggers the pulse valves. A blast of compressed air is directed in reverse through the plates, effectively removing the accumulated dust, which then falls by gravity into the hopper for discharge — restoring the filter plates to full performance.
The sintered plate itself is a rigid filter element produced by sintering polyethylene powder into a porous substrate, with a PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) coating applied to the surface. As the material is entirely plastic-based, it is commonly known as a "plastic sintered plate."
